Merge Excel Sheets with Column Mapping and Workbook Copying
Combine sheets with different headers using explicit column mappings, or copy a selected range between two workbooks after reviewing the source and destination.
Open workspace →Analysis uses allowance. Confirmed execution costs 10 credits; failed execution is refunded.
Map columns by meaning
State how fields correspond, such as Order Number → Order ID and Paid Amount → Payment. Column order may differ, but business definitions must agree. Tax-inclusive and pre-tax amounts are not interchangeable.
Make the copy direction explicit
Add a second workbook after starting a task. Upper tabs switch files and lower tabs switch sheets. Previewing another file does not change the destination. Specify the source range and destination and check the plan.
Values are different from live links
Cross-file copying transfers values without source formulas, charts or controls. Merged output goes to a new sheet and retains sources. Request same-workbook cross-sheet formulas separately if you need live summaries.
Example request to copy into the workspace
Merge Sales and Orders into a new Combined sheet with Date, Order ID and Amount. Map Sales columns 1,2,3 and Orders columns 3,1,2 in that order. Include all data rows as values, preserve both source sheets and do not add macros.
Current scope
Up to two workbooks at a time. Arbitrary multi-file batches and external workbook formula links are not supported.
Supports .xlsx / .xlsm with approximately 4 MB combined upload, up to 20,000 rows and 128 columns per sheet and 200,000 cells overall.
