Specify inputs and expected results
Name the sheets, columns and business rules, such as sales less refunds. Decide how blank rows and division by zero should behave. Reference cells or ranges to avoid ambiguity.
Use date boundaries for monthly totals
Monthly SUMIFS can use dates greater than or equal to the first day of the month and less than the first day of the next month. Date columns must contain Excel dates; normalize text dates before comparing them with serial dates.
Formulas stay in your download
Supported formulas are checked, retained and given cached results, with automatic recalculation enabled. Subsequent input edits recalculate supported dependencies. This is not a promise of complete compatibility with every existing Excel formula.
Example request to copy into the workspace
Write a formula in Monthly!B2 summing Sales!F2:F31 for dates in Sales!A2:A31 during January 2026. Use SUMIFS and DATE and retain the cross-sheet formula. Column A contains Excel dates. No macro needed.

Supports documented functions, limited TEXT formats and bounded ranges. Whole-column, named-range, array and external workbook references are unsupported.
